Obituary of Jawine Evans

Life Story Jawine Vincent Evans, known as “Allegheny Wine” or “Big Drip” was born May 23, 2000 in Philadelphia, PA to Huddie and Beverly Evans Battle. Jawine was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. He graduated from Philadelphia Electrical and Technology Charter High School (PET). He furthered his education at Lincoln University receiving a degree in Health Science . Jawine, a true athlete, loved sports. He excelled in all sports, but basketball was his first love. He played for many profound organizations known around the city of Philadelphia. He played basketball for Southern Highschool, MVP 360 Leadership Program and Big Dream Bear Cats Basketball Organization , where he received various awards including MVP and 6th Man off the Bench. He also played with the North Philly Aztecs Football organization. “Pretty Boy” Jawine loved fashion, music and traveling . Known to his college friends as “ The Vibe”, he was the life of the party. Jawine’s laid back, humble and reserved presence made everyone around him want to know him more. His shy demeanor was very noticeable, accompanied by his huge heart. His love for his family, friends and teammates was immeasurable. Jawine spoiled his nephews and nieces and always wanted to be with his brothers. Jawine worked with his father’s Construction Company Battle and Sons as well as McNair and Sons. Most recently he was as a Home Health Care Provider while attending college. The home cooked meals that his mom made for him to take back to school was the talk of the college. Jawine was a giver, sharer and made sure everyone around him was happy. Jawine has now reunited with his grandmother Janette Evans, grandfathers Henry Evans Sr and Huddie Williams, Uncle Walter Battle and fav cousin/brother Mikal Evans. He leaves to carry on his legacy and cherish his many memories: his loving mother , Beverly Evans Battle, His devoted father Huddie Battle Sr, adoring grandmother Lettie Battle, six dedicated brothers Charles Evans, Huddie Battle Jr, Nyfeere Evans, Justin Evans, Jamire Evans and Shawn Battle, two sisters loving sisters Judy Battle and Ruth Anne Evans, five aunts Ruth Anne Evans (Mike) , Annie Battle, Sadie Clarke (Ralph), Takisha Jones (Kevin), Diane Carmichael (Philip) five uncles Henry Mack Evans Jr( Lydia), Lee Evans(Sheila), James Earl Evans, Henry Mack Evans Jr (Risa) Jeffrey Brown (Mable) 6 nephews, 7 nieces and a host of cousins, family and friends.
